<B>1894 $1 MS61 PCGS.</B></I> This key date Morgan has one of the lowest mintages in the series (110,000 circulation strikes). Examples are elusive in all grades, and Mint State coins are mostly in the lower ranges (David Bowers, 2004). This MS61 specimen exhibits whispers of golden-brown color, along with an attentive strike that leaves sharp definition on the design features, including the hair at Liberty's ear and the eagle's breast feathers. Contact marks and luster grazes are noted on the cheek and in the left obverse field.
