Beautiful Set of Three Souvenir Ribbons from the 1893 World’s Colombian Exposition in Chicago, also known as the Chicago World’s Fair.

1. The first ribbon reads: “Souvenir of the World’s Colombian Exposition Chicago 1893” and features a globe with the American Heraldic Eagle at the top. Below the globe is an image of the U.S. Government Building from the fair. Below the building is another eagle with U.S. flags and additional text: “And the star Spangled Banner, O Long May It Wave, O’er the Land of the Free, And the Home of the Brave. Welcome All Nations.” Excellent condition, blue tassel still attached at the tip. Measures about 2.5” x 9” not including the extra tassel.

2. The second ribbon bears the same design as the first, but is in slightly poorer condition. Top shows minor fraying and the bottom tip appears to have been trimmed to remove any fraying there. Tassel is absent. Measures about 2.5” x 8.5”.

3. The third ribbon shows an American Flag at the top, and below reads “Woven In The Worlds Colombian Exposition Chicago 1893.” The center of the ribbon displays the same U.S. Government Building as the other two ribbons, The bottom shows a cannon and ammunition with an American flag. Minor stains near bottom. Measures about 2.5” x 7.5”. (3 items)
