1893-S S$1 AU53 PCGS. A lightly circulated example of this key-date Morgan dollar, one of the finest circulated survivors from the skimpy mintage of an even 100,000 pieces at the San Francisco Mint in 1893. The Bowers silver dollar Red Book notes that the great majority of circulated pieces, "into the thousands," exists in the single circulated grade of Very Fine, indicating that most circulated in the West for an appropriate length of time to bring them to such a grade. This example is largely brilliant but shows a touch of golden cast on each side. Much luster remains, although rub shows on the highpoints of the cheek and eagle's breast. Population: 50 in 53, 68 finer (11/06).

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
