1893-S S$1 AU50 PCGS. Ex: Ray George. A generous quotient of silver-white luster forms a band across both borders, and illuminates the eagle's wings, the wreath, and Liberty's hair and agricultural bounty. Light wear above Liberty's ear and on the eagle's breast is consistent with the grade. This cream-gray key date will fit well within an AU to Mint State collection of Morgan dollars, and would be the standout piece within such a holding. On paper, the 1893-S is similar to the 1894, since their mintages are separated by only 10%. In practice, the 1894 was set aside in Mint State to a much greater degree, perhaps because there were more collectors on the East Coast and Midwest in 1893 than in California.
From The Cocoa Beach Collection.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
