Morgan Dollars 1893-s About Uncirculated 55. <b>Light smoke-gray toning with an abundance of frosty luster shining forth on both sides. Luster is approximately 30% coverage on the obverse, and better than 50% satiny covering on the reverse, with the usual small bagmarks and handling marks present. None are severe, but the most evident can be found on Liberty's cheek below the eye, with others on the reverse in the field below STATES. The 1893-S ranks as the key San Francisco mint issue in this popular series which spanned the decades from 1878 until 1921. Only 100,000 pieces were struck at the facility this year, a far cry from the multi-millions issued in earlier (and later) years. A number of events coalesced to produce the fall in production.
