<B>1893-O 50C MS64 NGC.</B></I> The Feigenbaums' <I>Complete Guide to Certified Barber Coinage </B></I>remarks that this issue is among the most poorly struck in the series, but this piece is the happy exception, with a mighty strong impression for the issue. There is slight softness at the hairline and the hair above, and trivial weakness shows at the right shield corner. The eagle's right (facing) claw is sharp, however, and elsewhere the design details are sharp and well articulated. Some interesting die cracks appear on each side, running through the peripheral elements. Excellent luster and silvery, untoned surfaces complete the nice package.
