<B>1893-CC S$1 XF40 PCGS.</B></I> This important issue had a mintage of 677,000 pieces, and according to David Bowers (2006), " ... is 3rd in rarity among Carson City Morgan silver dollars, after 1889-CC (rarest) and 1879-CC." He also notes that: " ... several hundred thousand (were melted) under the 1918 Pittman Act." This XF specimen displays relatively uniform medium gray toning, and retains sharp detail for the grade. A few minor marks are not distracting.
