It also has the unfortunate reputation of being heavily bagmarked. The current near-Gem is a refreshing exception. While exhibiting some minute, grade-defining marks on Liberty's cheek and neck and in the left (facing) obverse field, the highly lustrous surfaces are relatively smooth and well preserved. Moreover, the design features are sharply executed, including nice definition in the centers, areas that are often weak on this date. The silvery surfaces display a few whispers of light tan color. PCGS has certified seven pieces finer (2/06).
