1893-CC S$1 MS64 PCGS. Frosty, fully brilliant surfaces with none of the often-seen weakness in the centers. Abrasions are well scattered and only minimally distracting. The status given to this issue in average Uncirculated grades is perhaps overblown by the popularity of both its year of issue, the second lowest total among Morgan dollars, and as the final year of Carson City production. However, the population thins out rapidly in grades exceeding MS63, and Gems are truly rare. In fact, PCGS has only graded nine Gem examples of this date in 20 years of coin certification, with none finer (2/07).
From The Jackson Hole Collection.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
