1893-CC$1> MS64 PCGS. Few finer quality examples of this issue have been certified, seven at PCGS and seven at NGC. Everyone probably knows that this was the very last issue of the popular Carson City mint. For many years the Treasury stored quantities of this issue, but most were distributed from the 1920s to the 1950s. By the time of the GSA sales in the 1970s, there was exactly one 1893-CC dollar in inventory. Boldly struck and temptingly close to Gem quality, both sides impart an untoned appearance and an unusually sharp strike for this often-weak issue. A few minor marks are seen on Liberty's cheek and neck that limit the grade.
