1893-CC S$1 MS63 PCGS. A genuinely scarce issue, the 1893-CC has the distinction of being the final Silver Dollar produced in the Carson City branch mint. Survivors from the 677,000-piece delivery are typically offered in extensively abraded BU condition. Another characteristic that virtually all Mint State '93-CC Dollars share is luster quality--it is typically rich with a frosty sheen. Not all examples, however, are sharply struck, but the present coin is in all areas. Dappled orange-russet patina outlines the devices and clings to the denticles on the obverse. That side is equally as frosty as the reverse, but the latter is untoned. Some scattered, generally not outwardly distracting bagmarks on the obverse seem to preclude a higher Choice designation. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
