Survivors from the 677,000-piece issue are typically offered in extensively abraded BU condition. Another characteristic that virtually all Mint State '93-CC dollars share is luster quality--it is typically rich with a frosty sheen. Not all examples are sharply struck, but the present coin is in virtually all areas. Dappled orange-russet patina outlines the devices and clings to the denticles on the obverse. Some scattered, generally not overly distracting bagmarks on the obverse seem to preclude a higher grade designation.
