1893-CC $20 MS63 PCGS. The final issue of the Carson City Mint, this double eagle is a lovely representative with its frosty luster and excellent yellow-gold coloration. The surfaces have a few typical bagmarks and other abrasions that are consistent with the grade. It is sharply struck in nearly every detail, with only slight weakness evident along the beads at the top of the crown over LIBERTY.
In addition to its excellent aesthetic appeal, it is also a condition rarity, one of the finest examples available to the current generation of collectors. While NGC has certified a single coin at a higher grade, this piece is tied for the best that PCGS has graded. Population: 18 in 63, 0 finer (8/07).

Coin Engraver: James B.
