Titled "Buffalo Bill, From Prairie to Palace," this is a defining work on the man who defined the West. It's a first edition hard-cover with 275 pages, published by Rand, McNally & Co, Chicago, in 1893.

This is beautifully bound in gilt-stamped and gilt-pictorial muted rust-colored cloth. The pictorial aspect is a bust of Buffalo Bill inside an oval, decorated on the exterior with portions of a rifle, a saddle, and a lariat. The cover title is in gilt with attractively embellished print of the era. The spine titles are in gilt.

The book is illustrated with three frontispiece portraits, two of Cody and one of Burke, along with numerous half-tone prints, portraits and drawings. There is one page of advertising in rear. This book is 100% original and has not been repaired or rebound (as is so often the case).
