<B>1893 50C Columbian MS67 NGC.</B></I> The 1892 and 1893 Columbian halves were trendsetters, and not just as the first of their kind; they provoked controversy over their shared design, and both were over-minted to the point that many examples found circulation. Few examples of this high-mintage issue have such striking visual appeal as the present piece. Soft steel-gray and golden toning splashes across the centers, while vivid blue-green patina graces the flashy outer regions.
