<B>1893 25C PR68 Deep Cameo NGC.</B></I> The 1893 quarter came with 792 proof strikes, making this issue somewhat common. NGC and PCGS have, to date, certified more than 430 proof examples. The two services have given fewer than 100 specimens the Cameo designation, and a total of 16 coins rated the Deep Cameo classification, including a PR65, six PR66s, eight PR67s, and the solitary PR68 <B> S</B></I> making up this lot (6/07).<BR> White-on-black contrast immediately grabs the viewer's attention, and the heavily frosted motifs appear to glide over the deep watery fields when the piece is rotated beneath a light source. A powerful strike emboldens the design features, leaving no areas with even a hint of softness.
