<B>1893 $20 MS64 PCGS.</B></I> While the 1893 half eagle and eagle each have mintages well above 1 million pieces, the Philadelphia Mint double eagle is a better date at the MS64 level. The mintage was less than 350,000 pieces, and lower grade Uncirculated examples are readily available. The present boldly struck near-Gem boasts full luster, and marks are generally limited to a scuff beneath the tail feathers and minor grazes on the cheek.
