In this regard, David Bowers (2005) wrote: "Today, most collectors will opt for an inexpensive VF or an affordable EF, the 1892-S often being one of the few Morgan dollars in a set that is not Mint State." The "Unc Details" example in this lot reveals light gray surfaces that display powder-blue undertones and traces of luster in some of the protected areas. Sharp detail is noted on the design features, though the hair over Liberty's ear is a tad soft.
