1892 S$1 PR65 Cameo PCGS. Moderate golden-orange rim toning interrupts the otherwise brilliant sheen
1892 S$1 PR65 Cameo PCGS. Moderate golden-orange rim toning interrupts the otherwise brilliant sheen of this solidly graded Gem. Both sides are boldly cameoed with well frosted devices set atop glistening, mirrored reflectivity in the fields. There are no abrasions that would call into question the validity of the PR65 grade. Softly struck over Liberty's ear on the obverse and the eagle's breast feathers on the reverse--a not uncommon feature for proof Morgan Dollars dated 1891 and 1892--with a rollermark (as produced) in the former area. Distributed as part of silver proof sets, the 1892 has a relatively high mintage of 1,245 pieces that is probably due to public demand for the new Barber Dime, Quarter, and Half Dollar.
