<B>1892 S$1 MS66 ANACS.</B></I> Only 1,036,000 silver dollars were struck in Philadelphia during the year, suggesting a rare date, but this issue is actually relatively common, except in Gem quality. In fact, this Premium Gem is a Census level piece, one of the finest examples of the date to be certified. NGC and PCGS have combined to certify just three MS66 examples of this issue with none finer. Add the ANACS coins to this record, and the present piece still qualifies as one of the finest existing representatives. It is a sharply struck piece with nearly full design features on each side. The surfaces are brilliant with frosty silver luster and faint peripheral gold toning on each side.
