<B>1892-CC S$1 MS66 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: Jackson Hole. Both sides of this amazing Premium Gem have frosty luster with exquisite surfaces. This piece is sharply struck with essentially full details on each side. More than 1 million of these coins were struck (the official quantity was 1,352,000 coins), and most were stored at Carson City and later moved to San Francisco. The majority were paid out from the San Francisco Mint during the 1920s through early 1950s and entered circulation. A small quantity went to the Treasury in Washington, D.C., where they were paid out as well, largely entering numismatic circulation. By the time of the GSA sales in the 1970s, the supply of this date was entirely dried up.
