<B>1892-CC<$20> MS62 PCGS.</B></I> This attractive Carson City Mint double eagle is one of a moderate number of similarly graded pieces that are close to the finest pieces known. For the specialist who has been unsuccessful in his or her quest for the finest possible piece, this example may prove to be an excellent alternative. It is sharply struck and highly lustrous with rich yellow-gold color and minimal surface marks on each side. We expect this piece to bring a substantial price in today's marketplace, yet it should prove to be much more affordable than the few higher level Mint State examples. Population: 49 in 62, 5 finer (9/06).
