<B>1892-CC $20 AU58 NGC.</B></I> The 1892-CC, with a mintage of 27,265 pieces, is one of the more available double eagles from the Carson City Mint, resulting in part from recent hoard discoveries. Mint State pieces, however, remain quite scarce. The fields of this high-end AU coin display a partially prooflike appearance, and set off frosty devices. Peach-gold surfaces are imbued with blushes of light green, and retain considerable luster. The design elements are sharply struck, with all details visible on each side.
