<B>1892 50C MS64 PCGS.</B></I> Though numismatists saved examples of this first-year design, even then, many collectors and non-collectors disliked the change, and the "debut effect" for 1892 pieces is less than what is known for other issues. Both sides display potent luster, and while the obverse has two brick-red stripes on the portrait, the reverse has only a hint of ice-blue in the fields.
