<B>1892 $5 MS67 NGC.</B></I> Coruscating luster and a full strike are the hallmarks of this stunning Superb Gem, a common coin in lower grades but one that is anything but common in the higher Mint State grades. This piece boasts sparkling apricot-gold hues on each side. Garrett and Guth comment, "Fewer than 100 coins have been certified as choice Uncirculated. The date was at one time extremely rare in gem Uncirculated, but a small group of superb coins surfaced in 1999. ... Many of the high-grade coins seen are partially prooflike."
