<B>1892 $20 MS62 PCGS.</B></I> The 1892 double eagle has long been a prized rarity among P-mints in the series as a result of its impressively low business strike production of 4,430 pieces. From this already brief mintage, demand for large gold in the Eastern part of the country quickly forced almost all 1892 twenties into commercial channels, leaving only a few dozen Mint State survivors. This example, while showing moderate to heavy abrasions over both sides, exhibits pleasing reddish-golden color and semi-prooflike sparkle.
