<B>1892 $20 MS61 PCGS.</B></I> The 1892 double eagle is one of the important rarities in the Type Three Liberty series, from a mintage of just 4,430 business strikes. Only a few top quality pieces have been certified, and it is probably the case that full Mint State examples are even rarer than proofs, or certainly nearly so. <BR> This lovely piece has highly lustrous yellow and pink-gold color with slightly reflective and lightly abraded fields. There are no individually significant marks on either side. The design elements are boldly rendered, and the appearance is almost that of a cameo example.
