<B>1892 $2 1/2 PR65 Deep Cameo PCGS.</B></I> Impressive contrast between the glowing devices and the darkly reflective fields confirms the Deep Cameo designation. The strike is sharp, but a hint of incompleteness is noted on the hair near the ear, and on the obverse dentils at 7 o'clock. An interesting strike-through is noted on the eagle's waist. This strike-through is present on many if not most proof 1892 quarter eagles, and is caused by a small amount of foreign matter imbedded in the recesses of the reverse die. If present, it distinguishes the proofs from prooflike business strikes.
