<B>1892 $1 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> David Bowers (2005) writes of 1892 Mint State dollars that: "Most are in lower grade ranges, MS60 to 62, and poorly struck. Really choice MS64 and gem MS65 or finer coins are very hard to find." The current Gem displays great luster and adequately struck design elements, though softness is visible in the centers. Occasional wisps of gold-tan color occur at the margins.
