1891-S $20 MS64 PCGS. Thick mint frost covers the surfaces of this double eagle, particularly on the reverse. The color of the obverse ranges from peach-gold to orange-gold, with a pinkish sheen over Liberty's features, while the reverse carries more of an olive-gold hue. The strike is exacting, and detail is full. Although this is a common date in low grades, it is scarce as fine as this piece's MS64, and only two have been certified in finer grades, both MS65s at NGC (11/06).
From The Kutasi Collection.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
