<B>1891-CC S$1 MS66 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: Jackson Hole. VAM-3. This is the famous "Spitting Eagle" variety that is known to all advanced Morgan dollar collectors. A small die chip leaves a tiny raised spot in the field just below the eagle's beak. Both sides of this Premium Gem have frosty silver luster with no evidence of toning; the surfaces are fully brilliant and white. It is also a sharply struck example with full obverse and reverse design features. Dave Bowers commented: "Virtually all are lustrous and have superb eye appeal, but not all are sharply struck. Do some looking around before you write a check." For those who have done their share of looking, this would be an excellent opportunity to write that check.
