1890s Fantail Launch known as Emma - Discovered in Maine Emma was stored for 35 years. Her cedar planks and oak frames were in excellent condition but she was in need of a new coaming, rubrails, some deck planking and seating. Motor is a Silent Dispro motor made by the Knight Metal Products Company of Toronto for the Disappearing Propeller Boat Company. The serial number places it as 1920-21. It has a displacement of 19 1/2 cubic inches turning out a 3 hp at 900 rpm. Emma comes with lots of provenance too. She's won second place in 1995 and first place in 1996 at the Antique and Classic Boat Society New England Chapter Annual Boat Show at Weirs Beach NH and also the 1996 Participants Choice and also in 1996, 1997 and 1998 the Peoples Choice award at the Wolfeboro Boat Show sponsored by the NH Boat Museum and ACBS. For the last five years Emma has been on display at the New Hampshire Boat Museum in Wolfeboro NH. A fabulous boat!
