<B>1890-O S$1 MS66 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: Jackson Hole. This is a particularly attractive example of the 1890-O dollar, which is easy to locate in circulated and Mint State grades, through MS64. Bowers believes that more than a million examples exist at those lower levels of preservation. As a Premium Gem, however, this piece is quite scarce and, surprisingly, none have been graded higher by either of the major services. This lovely coin is well struck, with just a trace of the usual weakness above the ear, and the coruscating mint luster illuminates white, essentially untoned surfaces. It is impressively preserved, and a small scrape in the left reverse field near the eagle's wing is the only minor detraction on either side.
