1890-CC $1 MS65 NGC. A solid strike brings about sharp definition on the design features, including the hair strands above Liberty's ear and the eagle's breast feathers. Radiantly lustrous surfaces display hints of incipient light tan-gold color at the peripheries under magnification. A couple of trivial luster grazes are located on the obverse. David Bowers (2006) estimates that over 1 million of the 2.3 million mintage was melted under the 1918 Pittman Act. Census: 56 in 65, 2 finer (6/07).
From the Reuben Reinstein Collection.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
