<B>1890 25C MS66 PCGS.</B></I> Larry Briggs (1991) writes of the 1890 quarter: "Most specimens show poor star detail and softness on head." The present specimen, while revealing softness in Liberty's hair, is quite bold on the stars, as well as on the remaining design elements. Radiantly lustrous surfaces take on light tan-gold patination, that is a touch deeper on the reverse.
