<B>1890 $20 MS63 ICG.</B></I> Only 75,955 business strikes were produced of this issue and the 1890 double eagle is a very scarce item in all grades, with Uncirculated pieces showing up at auction on an infrequent basis. This is a lovely coin for the grade that shows pinpoint striking definition and frosted mint luster that is more suggestive of a San Francisco coin than one from Philadelphia. Lightly abraded with no obvious or especially distracting marks on either side, the surfaces display even reddish patina and are obviously original and unaltered. <BR> <BR><BR><B>Coin Engraver:</B> James B.
