1889 Proof Set PR63 to PR65 NGC. A well matched proof s
1889 Proof Set PR63 to PR65 NGC. A well matched proof set, complete from the cent to the silver dollar, although no gold coins are present. The set includes:
Indian Cent PR64 Red and Brown. An intricately struck near-Gem with a mostly red obverse, with hints of olive and lilac here and there. The reverse features deep ruby-red, ocean-blue, and orange toning. Conservatively graded despite two tiny obverse spots near the mouth and jaw.
Three Cent Nickel PR64. A lovely Choice specimen with blended almond-gold and cream-gray patina. Decisively struck and unabraded with no marks and minimal carbon. The final year of the series, and a low mintage date.
Liberty Nickel PR63. An intricately struck if finely granular piece that boasts attractive lime-green, salmon-pink, and plum-red toning. The rims have an occasional trace of carbon.
Seated Dime PR64. A boldly impressed and appealing near-Gem. The modestly hairlined obverse exhibits minor reflectivity beneath rich violet-gray and blue-green patina, though the reverse displays stronger mirrors. Just 711 proofs were struck.
Seated Quarter PR64. This late-date proof Seated quarter exhibits strong reflectivity beneath hazy sky-blue and violet obverse patina. The toning, more translucent on the reverse, allows for minor contrast and a patch of dusty rose on the eagle.
Seated Half PR65. Mirrored fields accentuate mildly frosted, sharply impressed design features, generating an overall cameo-like effect. Variegated and delicate cobalt-blue, lavender, and golden-brown patination splashes over both sides of this lovely Gem. From a mintage of 711 proofs. Census: 25 in 65, 26 finer (4/07).
Morgan Dollar PR64. This precisely struck representative is lavishly toned in apple-green, lilac, and apricot shades, although the central reverse has window of near-brilliance. A scant 811 proofs were struck.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
