1889 Harry Wright Handwritten Signed Note. This hugely influential baseball pioneer responds to an inquiry from "The Boston Base Ball Association" on the back of the lined letterhead page. Wright writes, in part, "We think J.B. Ray's services might prove of use to us. Please name the price of his release. Yours tr. H.W. Mgr." Though it isn't a full signature, Wright's note more than makes up for this fact, and quite a large percentage of his autographs are abbreviated to some degree anyhow. We're also pleased to report that the penciled note retains its original 10/10 boldness, and is not affected by the original mailing folds or the separation that runs portions of their lengths, positioned perfectly in between. A great opportunity to bring a rare autograph into your Hall of Fame collection. Page measures 7.5x9.5". LOA from PSA/DNA.
