Boldly headed “REWARD !” this official Printed 1889 California Reward Broadside measures 10” x 13.5” (by sight), here Framed to an overall size of 13.25” x 16”. Some wrinkling and a 2” tear at top center at REWARD. This classic appearing REWARD Poster/Broadside awards a 250 Dollars Bounty for the capture of Ed. Grimm, who was responsible for the murder of Jacob Aipperspach. Issued by the Governor of California, R.W. Waterman and signed in print, and the Executive Department for the State of California. Grimm was twenty-five years old, standing approximately five foot nine inches with gray eyes and a sandy complexion. He was a lanky man and boasted only 150 pounds and had a slight mustache.
