<B>1889-CC S$1 MS64 Prooflike SEGS (MS60 Cleaned).</B></I> In addition to its key status in the Morgan dollar series, the 1889-CC is a popular and desirable coin with prooflike fields. Such coins are not especially rare in the context of 1889-CC dollars with approximately half of the high grade examples showing some degree of reflectivity. Nevertheless, prooflike coins are always eagerly sought out by advanced collectors. This piece shows confirmed reflectivity in the fields on each side. The striking details are also fully defined on both obverse and reverse with crisp definition over the ear of Liberty and on the breast of the eagle. The surfaces are notably free from abrasions, but the obverse is lackluster from the effects of cleaning.
