<B>1889-CC S$1 MS62 PCGS.</B></I> The 1889-CC is the rarest and most desired issue among Carson City Morgan dollars. David Bowers, in his <I>Silver Dollars and Trade Dollars of the United States,</B></I> states: "Most Mint State 1889-CC dollars on the market are in lower grade levels, often with dull, washed-out appearing surfaces. Marginal pieces will usually be fully struck but will have poor luster and heavy bagmarks."<BR> This well struck MS62 example exhibits somewhat satiny, pleasing luster, and a light coat of tan-gold patina that is most evident around the borders.
