1889-CC S$1 AU58 PCGS. After a four-year respite, the Carson City Mint resumed production of gold and silver coinage in July 1889. Here is a lightly circulated example of this rare, key date issue. Both sides are free from large or singularly distracting abrasions, but wispy blemishes are common in the fields areas. Highpoint wear seems negligible, and is not readily evident on either side. The surfaces are a silver-gray color, and show a great deal of underlying prooflikeness in the fields. A faint degree of milky beige-tan patina is noted on the reverse. By far the scarcest Carson City Morgan dollar, particularly in grades above XF.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
