<B>1889-CC $20 MS62 PCGS.</B></I> While only a median rarity among Carson City double eagles, the supply of 1889-CC twenties begins to taper off rather quickly once the Mint State threshold is reached. Here survivors are generally clustered in the MS60 to MS62 grade range and are almost never seen finer. This example, while not quite reaching the Select category (although coming temptingly close), benefits from splendid golden-orange color and scintillating luster. Just a few too many shallow facial marks apparently preclude an MS63 rating.
