1889-CC $1 MS60 NGC. According to Q. David Bowers (1993): "Nearly all 1889-CC dollars are well struck with excellent definition of details." The current offering is no exception, as crisp definition appears over each side, including the hair detail just above Liberty's ear and the eagle's breast feathers. The piece displays excellent cartwheel luster indicative of a Mint State coin, and the shining silver-white surfaces are untoned. What appears to be a faint grease streak rests beneath US in PLURIBUS. A few minor nicks and blemishes occur on each side, but a moderate milling mark on Liberty's jaw area is the most obvious grade-limiter. The 1889-CC is, of course, the scarcest of all Carson City silver dollars, and an important key date in the Morgan dollar series.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
