<B>1889 25C PR64 Cameo PCGS.</B></I> The 1889 quarter saw 711 proofs coined, a relatively large number of which are still extant, according to population/census reports. Cameos are much more limited. The near-Gem Cameo in this lot exhibits strong field-motif contrast, and splashes of iridescent cobalt-blue, lavender, and golden-brown toning on minimally marked surfaces.
