<B>1889 1C MS65 Red PCGS.</B></I> This MS65 Red Indian cent is well defined throughout with even, glowing mint red luster over each side. All four diamonds are bold. Devoid of contact marks, though a handful of light flecks are visible on both obverse and reverse. With respect to survivability of this issue, Richard Snow (2006) says: "As with other dates of this era, these were workhouse coins that stayed in circulation long after the design was changed in 1909. High-grade examples survived only by chance."
