1889//1919, The Moon An interesting duo of early scientific works on technical aspects of the moon researched at the time. They are "The Temperature of the Moon" by S. P. Langley (1889 first printing, National Academy of Sciences, softbound, 212pp., 26 plates) and "Tables of the Motion of the Moon" by Earnest Brown (1919 first printing, Yale University, softbound, sections I and II, 140 pp., 39 tables). There is some aging, wear and water staining. Nevertheless these contain an enormous amount of information and give an historical perspective on man's effort to study the moon.
