<B>1888-S $20 MS64 PCGS.</B></I> The 1888-S is a typically well produced S-mint double eagle that is seen with greater frequency in Mint State than any other date from the decade. That said, Uncirculated survivors have a propensity for heavy abrasions and are seldom located above the Select grade level. Offered here is one of the flashiest and best preserved 1888-S twenties seen by this cataloguer and, more importantly, no Gems have been certified by either PCGS or NGC. Both sides are draped in lovely reddish-orange patina and show only the most incidental signs of contact.
