<B>1888-O S$1 Doubled Die Obverse AU58 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: Bermuda. VAM-4. A Top 100 Variety. The doubling on Liberty's lips, nose, and chin is quite clear. In their 2006 <I>Buyer's Guide to Silver Dollars and Trade Dollars of the United States,</B></I> David Bowers and John Dannreuther write that this 1888-O variety is "Notable for the most spectacular doubled die obverse in the entire Morgan series..." PCGS has certified only 13 examples in AU58, and none higher. This specimen displays ample luster, with whispers of light reddish-tan color that hugs the peripheries.
