<B>1888-O $1 Scarface Die Break Obverse MS62 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: Leroy Van Allen. VAM 1B. A Top 100 Variety. A desirable Very Late Die State with the die break going into the hair. The break begins at the border at 10 o'clock, through the pellet between E and P, and continues to curve across Liberty's cheek and neck. Although the surfaces are lightly marked, the overall appearance of this piece is excellent, with faint gold toning, framed by peripheral iridescence on the obverse.
